IT'S VERY STIMULATING (DELETED)
PAUL BARMAN
WSEP003
It's been 3 years since Prince Paul dropped the critically acclaimed Psychoanalysis:What Is It? (WSCD010) on WordSound. Since then we have seen his stock rise in the rap world as Tommy Boy Records promptly scooped him up and gave him a deal for Prince Among Thieves and Handsome Boy Modelling School. But that doesn't mean Paul has lost touch with his underground roots. No sireeee! The man who turned three nerdy kids from his high school into the platinum-selling De La Soul, now brings you his latest discovery, Eminem--Sorry, I mean, MC Paul Barman.
MC Paul Barman is everything you could want in an MC. He's caucasian, he's Jewish, he's goofy, he's corny, he's got a big, curly afro, and he thinks he's God's gift to women (though he's just kidding). But this laughable, loveable, geekier-than-thou former Ivy-leaguer is about to become the joy of your world.
Listen in glee as MC Paul Barman waxes his way through soon-to-be standards like "School Anthem," Salvation Army," and "I'm Frickin' Awesome," songs, that in Barman's words, revolve around, "Sex, school, and the flimsy culture of young people." If his high, whiney voice doesn't get you high, then you always have Prince Paul's quirky, accomplished doodler, whose doodles have appeared in the New York Times Book Review, Screw Magazine, and on his records. His puzzles have also appeared in Games Magazine. Barman currently hosts a radio show on WXDU-Durham.
